another successful show! ![]() On Nov 3rd & 4th, 2010, Silhouette presented an exhibition of paintings and photographs in the Atrium of the Calgary Municipal Building. Eight artists exhibited a total of about a hundred pieces of varying styles and influences, ranging from classically inspired portraits to landscapes, pastel art, and even photography. The Atrium show was an important milestone in Silhouette's quest for citywide recognition, and added a fair amount of prestige to its participating artists. ![]() Silhouette also welcomed two new artists to our group, as the Atrium show was the debut exhibition for Bernice Thiessen and Bill Pagie. Bernice's pallet knife oils and Bill's beautiful and evocative photographs were a wonderful addition to our lineup. ![]() The artists of Silhouette wish to express their sincerest gratitude to Slawa Gruszczynska, the Cultural Diversity Coordinator of Arts & Culture at the City of Calgary, for making it possible to present our work to the people of Calgary in this excellent venue. |
